🔇Badges For Being Mute & Can't Hear You
Bright red badges to the right of your display player name that floats above you; very similar to cheer badges.
Â
These badges should be able to be configured on and off by the player who bears them.
Â
These badges will signify that either:
🔇 - Player cannot hear other players voices/voices are set very low
🎙️ with red circle and crossed - Player's microphone is off/muted/nonfunctional/etc
Â
These icons will prove useful in letting other players know that you can't hear them when they are speaking or why you're not talking to them.
Â
Another reminder, these icons must be decided to be put on by the player and not by anyone (or anything) else.

This is a great idea but to add to it there should be other badges you can manually select as well such as one for deaf people. My cousin is completely deaf and to have a badge next to her name that shows something like that and for when people click on her profile for it to officially say on the top that she’s deaf with an official icon would be wonderful for accessible inclusion

I fully support this. :)
Small addition:
The pride badge + pronouns system could be adapted to help with this, that system has huge potential.
Rec Room has shown great support for the LGBTQ+ community and recently added the BHM hoodie, would be cool to see support for disability and neurodiverse communities, too.Â
