Clothing Customizer should support scaled markers/brushesAnswered
Currently, achieving fine detail on your Custom Shirts is very difficult, because markers/brushes have a fixed drawing size on the board.
Artists in Rec Room will usually upscale their art canvas, which in turn down-scales the drawing size of their markers/brushes. However, this is not possible with the Clothing Customizer, as it is a backpack tool and not a Maker Pen Object.
A simple solution for this is to support scaled markers and brushes for the Clothing Customizer, so that players can achieve finer detail on their shirts!
Additionally, players attempting to use "printing" technology to create their own shirt designs in tools like Photoshop or GIMP will benefit from this, as it would solve a couple issues that shirt-printing faces at the moment. Everybody wins!
The magic marker will eventually be out of beta so you can use it in your Dorm.
It comes with the ability to sense how hard you're pressing on the board in VR.
Otherwise, I understand your original complaint. Noted.
Scaling markers for ALL boards would be helpful! This. 👆1
Thank you for the reply Star. Yes, the Magic Markers solve both issues outlined in this post. Thinking further on the topic, I remembered many artists in Rec Room actually scale down the markers to make it easier to see the canvas, so implementing scaled markers might actually be detrimental to hand-drawn art.. my bad. 😅0
I wish we could scale the board itself tbh It’s very hard to draw on the small shirt when the board is already so small itself1
