Steam Friends Seeing RR Accounts

When you log into rr on steam it has a pop up of your steam friends accounts, this is cool and all buuuut they give this information without asking the players who own said accounts. Could there be a way to disable this function so steam friends do not get knowledge of your rr accounts?
