When you encounter inappropriate content, we highly encourage you to submit a report while you are still in-game. Submitting an in-game report rather than sending a Zendesk ticket helps our moderation team to take action more quickly. We have advanced systems that flag and action inappropriate content, which are specifically helped by your in-game reports.
Below are instructions on how to report various types of inappropriate content:
- Reporting Inventions
- Reporting Rooms
- Reporting Clubs
- Reporting Events
- Submitting Evidence Through Zendesk
"Inappropriate content" may refer to something that violates our Code of Conduct, Creator Code of Conduct, Terms of Service, Guidelines for Creator Use of Assets Built By Rec Room, or other similar types of content.
If you need to report a player rather than an invention, room, club, or event, please see this article.

Reporting Through Zendesk
If you have additional evidence to provide that was not included with your in-game report, you can submit a Zendesk ticket to supplement your in-game report. Please include the following information in your ticket:
- the player's username (please provide their unique @username, not their display name)
- the specific invention, ^RoomName, club, or event being reported
- information on what specifically you are reporting, including any photos, screencaps, or video that you have (you may upload videos unlisted on YouTube or Streamable and just send us that link).
Once you have gathered the above information for your report, feel free to send us a ticket. However, as mentioned above, please ensure you submit an in-game report whenever possible. This will help our moderation team better address the potentially violating content more quickly.
Note: to protect our players' privacy, we cannot provide updates on our investigation or the actions we take.
