Before diving into the appeal process, it’s essential to understand the nature of your ban.
Please note that we cannot process ban appeals through Zendesk tickets.
If you're currently banned, there are two pathways for appealing:
Pathway 1: The 'No Action Code' Appeal
Here’s how to start the appeal process from rec.net without needing an action code:
- Head over to rec.net and log into your account.
- Navigate to the Rec Room Ban Appeal Portal. Since you’re logged in, there’s no need for an action code. Please input a valid e-mail address we can use to contact you to let you know the status of your ban appeal.
- Fill in the details, lay out your heartfelt appeal, and if you’ve got evidence to support your innocence, now’s the time to share it. Pictures, videos, a sonnet about your remorse — whatever works.
- Finally, hit "Submit Ban Appeal" when you are finished. Our Moderation Team will then review the appeal and make a decision. Appeals may take 1-3 days to be reviewed.
Pathway 2: The 'I Have An Action Code' Appeal
Can’t log in to rec.net? We’ve got a backup plan for you that’s just as effective!
- Find the "Ban Appeal Code" button on your dorm room wall or watch. Click it to reveal your unique action code.
- Jot down or remember the code displayed at the bottom left.
- Head over to the Rec Room Ban Appeal Portal, enter the action code, and complete the ban appeal steps. Make sure to input a valid e-mail address we can use to contact you to let you know the status of your ban appeal.
- Finally, hit "Submit Ban Appeal" when you are finished. Our Moderation Team will then review the appeal and make a decision. Appeals may take 1-3 days to be reviewed.
