Verify You Have Sound Enabled In-Game
To adjust sound settings in-game, open your watch, then follow the below steps:
- Open your watch and click on Settings (the gear symbol in the corner of the watch menu).
- Once there, select the "Audio" tab.
- Scroll down to the "Speaker Volume" section. You can use the sliders to adjust the volume for music, sounds, voices, and ambience.
- Note: you can also check your microphone and voice chat settings on this same tab.
General Troubleshooting Tips for Audio Issues
If you have checked your in-game audio settings and are still unable to hear anything at all, try the below troubleshooting tips:
- Check your device's volume settings: ensure your speakers and/or headphones are unmuted, and that the volume is turned up.
- Check your hardware connections:
- If you are using wired headphones or speakers, verify that they are correctly plugged into your device. Try plugging in a different listening device to ensure your audio jack isn't broken.
- If you are using bluetooth headphones or speakers, verify that the bluetooth device is charged, and that your device indicates that your specific headphones/speakers are connected.
- If neither of the above resolves your issue, verify that your headphones and/or speakers are functioning properly by trying to use the headphones/speakers to listen on a different device and/or in a different game.
- Restart Rec Room and/or your device: your game session may not have launched properly. If so, a quick restart may fix your audio issue. Similarly, a device restart can sometimes resolve system issues.
- Reinstall Rec Room: if a basic restart doesn't work, completely uninstalling and reinstalling the game on your device may help.
- PC users: check your audio drivers to verify they are up-to-date. Outdated or corrupted audio drivers can cause issues with sound output. (Alternatively, if a driver was recently updated, try rolling back that update to see if that resolves your issue.)

Sound Cutting Out or Delayed
If your in-game sound does work but is distorted, delayed, and/or cuts in and out, your system may be consuming too many resources. Try closing all unnecessary background applications. Also, make sure that you have a stable internet connection.
